Target Audience
The target audience of the Florida Orthopaedic Institute Research Foundation CME program includes physicians, surgeons, nurses and other musculoskeletal healthcare professionals throughout the state, nationally and internationally.
Types of Activities
The Florida Orthopaedic Institute’s Research Foundation’s CME program provides single and multi-day courses and symposia which include didactic lectures, hands-on workshops, question and answer sessions, panel discussions, case discussions and surgical video instruction. Individual activities vary based on the identified need and course objectives. It is anticipated that CME activities sponsored by MRF will be balanced, ethical and objective.
Expected Results
As a result of these educational activities, the Florida Orthopaedic Institute Research Foundation CME office intends to foster the continuing professional development of orthopaedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals. The activities are intended to strengthen and enhance the medical knowledge and skills of the learner, thereby improving patient care. Florida Orthopaedic Institute Research Foundation’s CME is committed to reassessing the impact of the CME program on an ongoing basis through qualitative and quantitative methods to ensure that this goal is being met. In addition, it is expected that CME activities sponsored by Florida Orthopaedic Institute Research Foundation will meet or exceed the accreditation requirements of the ACCME.
