The Florida Orthopaedic Institute Research Foundation CME Office recognizes its responsibility to promote lifelong learning through the provision of educational experiences for physicians and other health care professionals that enhance and expand medical knowledge and skills to improve health care services. To achieve this goal, Florida Orthopaedic Institute Research Foundation CME takes a proactive approach in its efforts to add, enhance or expand programs and to develop new educational strategies and information technologies for delivering CME. The Florida Orthopaedic Institute Research Foundation CME Office is committed to sponsoring quality musculoskeletal continuing education activities to meet the needs of physicians and other healthcare professionals practicing throughout the state, nationally and internationally. These activities are designed to keep pace with advances in medicine, technology and biomedical research based on the best available evidence, as well as changes in the healthcare environment. As the rate of change in medicine continues to increase, CME programs are dedicated to providing new knowledge for participants, encouraging the reassessment of existing knowledge, and changing practice behaviors to improve patient care. CME activities at Florida Orthopaedic Institute Research Foundation are continually updated to maximize the utilization of our faculty and explore opportunities to enhance medical knowledge and skills among the target audience. In addition, it is expected that CME activities sponsored by Florida Orthopaedic Institute Research Foundation will meet or exceed the accreditation requirements of the ACCME. Our staff works closely with the program director(s) in planning (including needs assessment and development of educational objectives), implementing, and evaluating CME activities.
